I told my husband about calling in the geek batchelor party story & Mike's comment about the players who could see the porn being at a huge disadvantage. His reply was "Hell yeah. I thought I had a great spot because I could see the video. I got my ass handed to me every game."

My first car, my first time . . . you know what I’m talking about . . . it was a 79 Malibu wagon. Our family used it like a truck and because my dad was GearHeadGeek Sr. the stock v6 and 3 speed auto was swapped out for the running gear from an late 80s Chevy truck. It could pull a mean trailer and seat 8 (stationwagon!) Or, when I learned to drive, it could smoke the back tires until the speedo hit 80 . . . then traction came back. That thing smoked every car in the high school parking lot, save for those few sports cars that were supplied by parents with an odd sense of what made for a good 1st car.

Oddly enough my parents never could figure out why the car needed new tires every fifteen thousand miles once I started driving.

And, for the other first time thing . . . a station wagon with all three rows of seats can seat 8, or leave room for two couples . . . one set upfront and the other in the “bedroom” in back. Good times.

Note to self:

Mike doesn't edit out the parts when I try to decide on an appropriate type of geek to be for the voice-mails I leave. Decide before you call in!
